Creative Relief for Stress & Anxiety

Try not to smell like a Sardine.

Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed with: 
  • What to  do with yourself.  
  • Everything around you seems so negative and sad.
  • People being mean.
  • Nothing seems fun anymore.
  • LIfe is passing you by.
  • The almost relentless feeling that you want to just stay in bed all day.
If the above  describes you, then let's talk.

Life can seem like a box of sardines.  Everything you see  stinks.  After smelling all of those sardines,  they can begin to permeate your skin.    Now all you can smell are nasty sardines!


The saddest thing about being sad, is that the way we feel  tends to show up on the outside.  You begin to notice people leaving you alone.  Not inviting you to parties or gatherings.   (You probably don't  remember all of the times you've turned them down.)  It might seem to others that you just don't want to be bothered.  Or.....  that you have a chip on your shoulder, and are just waiting for something to complain about.  So, they either stay away, or they give you back an attitude of discontent.  (P.S. you don't see YOUR attitude.)

FAKE it Til you Make It!
Get yourself out there.   Get among other people, and SMILE!   If it doesn't come naturally, or if you just don't feel like it.....  Do it anyway!

When you SMILE, your BODY can FEEL it!!   Try it!

When you walk around looking serious, it makes you less approachable.     When you smile, not only will it make you feel better and LOOK better, it will make those around you feel better too!

CREATE an outlet for yourself.

​Give yourself a reason to get out of the house,  
...and make it a reason that you look forward to.

If you find a creative activity that can take your mind away from your worries and stressors, then go for it!  
Not only will you be getting out of the house, but you will be among other people.  Even if you arn't a "people person", just do it!
When you create something that you can smile about, that raises your happiness, and your self-esteem!
